What the game is

Halls of Torment, sold in Chinese as 苦痛殿堂, is an isometric horde-survival action RPG from Chasing Carrots in Stuttgart. Wikipedia and the Steam page agree on early access in May 2023 and the 1.0 release on 24 September 2024 for Windows and Linux. A search for “hall of torment” is the same game; there is no Halls of Torment 2 on the Steam app list I checked.

The studio’s own short description calls it a horde survival roguelite: one run, treasures, a growing cast of heroes, and lords waiting at the end of each hall. It is single-player. The pinned Steam FAQ says the team does not plan to add multiplayer.

Newest public additions

The Lost Archives, Steam app 4100210, released 22 October 2026 at $3.99 with no discount that day. The Boglands, app 3919420, released 28 October 2025 at a $3.99 list and was $3.19 (−20%) on 29 October 2026. The same day as the Archives, Steam news also describes a free update: Weekly Challenge Shrine, Kill Count, lifetime stats, and a difficulty rework. That free update is not the DLC.

On the Fandom wiki, read through the API on 29 October 2026, the current tables list 8 halls, 16 heroes, 54 artifacts, and 666 quests. A September 2026 third-party tier list still counted 14 heroes, and the App Store Premium blurb says 13 classes. Those three counts are left side by side on the character unlock page.
