Traits change character and ability stats during a run. Use the type table to distinguish basic, advanced, growth, class and ability traits, then check the cited wiki for rank requirements and variants before choosing or banishing one.

How the wiki groups them
The Fandom trait page groups Base, Elevated, Growth, one set per ability, one set per class, and a Bard ability set. Ranks use Roman numerals I–V. Base traits open at levels 0, 5, 15, 30, and 50. Arrows on a trait mark the default, strong, and weak variants. A Scriptor roll raises the matching base effect by 50%, and that bonus is not the normal version. Store copy that says “1000+ traits” is counting traits and upgrades together. The wiki does not publish 1000 separate names, so I am not expanding this page into a fake full dump.
Decay chance and defensive traits
Earth Affinity rank III gives +20% Decay Chance and is tied to the story quest Garden of Decay: Decay Fiend. Crone’s Spreading also lists +20% Decay Chance. Both lines are the wiki, one source. Dedication’s Defensive option is +5% health, +5% defense, and +5% movement speed.
Potion of Oblivion banishes a trait and its later ranks. Potion of Memories locks one so the next level offers it. Strong Wine rerolls the whole offer. Those three are the potion page, cross-linked here because trait questions always end at the bench.
Questions and answers
What is decay chance?
On the wiki it is a bonus on Earth Affinity III and on Crone’s Spreading, each listed at +20%. It is not a standalone trait name.
Can traits be removed?
Potion of Oblivion banishes one trait and the upgrades that follow it. That is the wiki potion rule.
