ESO halls of torment

Which Halls of Torment?

Checked 2026-10-29. Covers 1.0, The Boglands (2025-10-28) and The Lost Archives (2026-10-22).

Chasing Carrots’ Halls of Torment and the Elder Scrolls Online quest of the same name are different works. Prelude is the standalone introduction to the roguelike, and The Vault is a base-game hall. Neither label establishes a sequel.

Two different works

This site covers Halls of Torment, the action RPG by Chasing Carrots, Steam app 2218750, released in 1.0 on 24 September 2024. Elder Scrolls Online has a quest also called Halls of Torment. UESP documents that quest, its giver, and its rewards. Nothing on the ESO page is a hero, artifact, or DLC for the Chasing Carrots game.

“Hall of torment”, missing the plural, is the same Steam game. Punctuation variants are the same game. The Vault is a hall inside this game, not a DLC and not the ESO quest.

Questions and answers

Is Prelude a second game?

No. The Steam FAQ describes Prelude as the earlier demo. The current game is the 1.0 app.

Where do I read the ESO quest?

On UESP, not here. This site will not mix that quest’s steps into the horde guides.
